Le 28 juin 2012, l’équipe italienne gagne l’euro de foot. Aussitôt les artères qui mènent à Liège se remplissent de voitures venant de Herstal ou de Seraing, qui roulent à toute allure, klaxons hurlants, débordant de femmes, d’hommes, d’enfants, de drapeaux et tout code de la route aboli. Je les observe sur le quai Saint-Léonard, près de chez moi où je rentre griffonner rapidement ces quelques croquis, bien décidé à en faire quelque chose, mais quoi?

On June 28, 2012, Italy wins the european football cup. Within a few minutes, all the main roads from the suburbs to Liège are crowded with cars full of people, flags and noise. I’m watching them pass on the embankment nearby, then I come back home and quickly scribble these sketches, I already know I’ll be using them some way or another.
