Bref, c’était avant.P1060350 - copieP1060254 - copieP1060281 - copieP1060282 - copieP1060283 - copieP1060284 - copieP1060342 - copieP1060341 - copieP1060339 - copieP1060345 - copieP1060344 - copieWhile we are still commemorating the first world war, it’s time to think of celebrating the centenary of the 1920’s, which the French call “les années folles”, the crazy years; and then we’ll perhaps be celebrating the centennial of fascism, or not.

With that in mind, I scribbled some sketches about the youth of the great Ernest. That was before he became the famous Papa Hemingway, long before he gave us that marvellous “Moveable Feast”, before he switched off the light. That was before.
